No plant just sitting there will repell mosquitos, you have to crush their leaves and release their scent, or do a patch test and rub some of the essential oil on yourself.
I looked on a few edu web sites and the top ones seemed to be (crushed) lemon grass, lemon thyme, and something that the Native Americans and early settlers used, wax myrtle, which is a southern evergreen shrub with berries that birds like. Worth looking into, anyway.
Then there was something called "mosquito dunks", a biological control agent, that bears looking up.

Using plants as repellents is extremely unlikely to work. Mosquitoes and Gnats will roost where it suits them, often in shady damp places away from your home. If you have still standing water/puddles/ponds, these places are home and nursery to Mosquitoes and Gnats. Avoid stagnant water close to home, pray for Bats and Swallows. Sorry to disappoint, but if the World Health Organisation can`t find an answer, plants certainly will not.

Yes, I can think of 3 or 4 general plants right off . . . most marigolds (both regular and French "tagetes") are natural mosquito repellants, as are other herbs such as dill, mint, rosemary, and especially lemon grass. The "king" (or queen, whichever) is probably the plant from which citronella oil originates, cymbopogon (scientific name). Don't be fooled by those geraniums known as "mosquito plant" or "citronella plant"; studies have shown they are not especially effective.
