you probably get stressed out, some people do when dealing with customers and don't even realize what's going on.
I think you need a differnt type of job, I think you'd do great in something less stressful

You say that you graduated early, with a 4 gpa, and yet are feeling like you cann't do anything right? The reality you are feeling doesn't seem to line up with the reality you are experiancing.
When you are out of sync like this it can be very emotionaly disturbing.
You may be finding the job boring, counting change for someone with a 4 gpa might not be as challanging as school was so perhaps you find your mind wandering? Your GPA tells me that if you want a better job then cashier you will be able to find it, but you might want to aim for something with more challange to help you stay focused. For now, remember you can do the job, try to relax, and don't rush, rushing is how most mistakes get made.

You probably fail because you expect to. The energy you put forth is the energy you get back. Could it be that maybe this job is just not right for you. That's OK. So What your not cut out to be a cashier, much worse things than that. Maybe your life's plan is to be bigger than this.
Look at your life as an opportunity for greatness. Never put yourself down this harshly. People will sense this, and now days unfortunately people don't want to bother with individuals who carry around to much baggage. If you believe in yourself, people will also believe in you.
Honey life is to short to look at the world as if the glass were half empty. Keep your head up high believe that you can achieve greatness and greatness will come. Touch everyone with a sense of kindness and kindness will be returned. Love yourself and others will love you back.
There are so many people who will want to hurt you so why be the leader of that group. You and you alone must spearhead the reality in which you wish to live. I wish you all the best.

if you're not already in college, DEFINETELY look into it. there's just about nothing you can do these days without some sort of higher education.
you're not a failure at your job. everyone makes mistakes, but you're, counting back change isn't that hard. I was a cashier for over a year and i understand how hectic it can get in a store sometimes.
you know you're being watched carefully and sorta on probabtion. just because you were over doesn't mean you're not in trouble. stores do'nt like ripping off customers like that. to avoid having mix ups on your change, take your time, count carefully and double check. start looking into other jobs and applying at places.
as far as the friends thing goes, try talking to people. sounds easy but i know its way harder to do than just saying it. start small, make small talk and work your way up from there. maybe its just not the job for you. where i worked, i was the youngest out of everyone in the entire store and a lot of the people i worked with were bitter and angry with the world and weren't friendly. thats just the way it is sometimes.
just try your best and try andt hink positive. instead of focusing on the negatives, think about the positives and way to improve from where you are now. good luck with everything you do, you sound like you're smart and have only just hit a rut.

Sounds like you are putting a little too much pressure on yourself. Make sure you double check the change you give. Its something very easy to over look so I dont think it has much to do with intelligence, its just a details issue. With all the transactions that occur dont get down because you messed up a few times. People make mistakes and even intelligent people have a tough time paying attention to detail. Just double count the money and Im sure you'll be fine. Also communicate with your boss to make sure that you are putting in time to make sure you correct your mistakes.
About making friends within work, dont try too hard but the best way to make friends is to listen...see what they like or how their personalities are and work with that. But dont change who you are just be yourself, always be yourself. If people dont like you for who you are, think this way...Hey their loss. Good luck!

Go to Temporary Jobs (in Yellow Pages) .. ..get something right away, ANYTHING that will keep the money coming in. Be careful WHAT you get, but do it RIGHT NOW! - and Quit that place! Quit before they even get a chance to fire you, don't give them that opportunity...and give them no advance notice!...just call in 10 minutes before you would start and say "I'm not coming in anymore, I quit." And don't worry about getting this on your record. WHAT record? Just don't ever use that dump as a reference.
You are better than what they need. Get out of that dump - what a boss!! Who got you in there?
o.k., then YOU MAKE THE MOVE NOW!

the 1st element you may desire to income is to no longer be frightened, and to no longer get pissed off considering which you're no longer quickly (common to declare – perplexing to do), yet this might comprise experience and time as you mature a sprint extra. it relatively is what you may desire to do: a million. as quickly simply by fact the customer palms over the money, continuously, continuously verbally properly known the quantity that of money the customer has given you. 2. next place the money on a secure place and the place the customer can see, (this could be on staggering of the money sign in drawer if the sign in is placed at a secure region the place no one can attain the take whilst your back is became, or interior the sign in drawer, yet no longer below the steel carry or clip. you need to practice your job at home. Trust me, set up a cash register of sorts in your room and start practicing!
How do you count the change out? sometimes it's easier to count UP from the total. For example, if the total is 4.28 and you get a $10.00, count up from 4.28. Eg 4.28 + 2 pennies, 2 dimes, 2 quarters + a 5 = 10.00.
I've noticed that alot of register attendants count DOWN from the total, and personally I think that results in far more mistakes. Also - students for the last 15 years have been taught to do math with calculators....they rarely have solid math skills when it comes to money....
so practice girl....only you can make yourself better at what you do and buck up! there are lots of jobs out there and with a 4.0, you are surely heading for bigger and better things.

Most cash registers now days have pictures of the fries, hamburgers, etc. on them. Maybe you should get one those games toddlers have, What does the cow say, what does the cat say,. Find one for fast food. What does the cheese burger look like? What does the bacon burger look like, what does the fish sandwich look like. You get the idea.
And as far as you being short. Well, that sounds like a genetics thing to me. There is nothing you can do about it. personally I prefer short women and so do lots of others. That really shouldn't be a problem as far i can tell.
Good luck.

I think the problem is the job, you are zoning out because you don't enjoy it and it doesn't challenge you. Before you get fired find a better job that stimulates you and makes you happy. Good luck on a new adventure.

No one is so perfect that they don't make mistakes. It's all a part of the challenges in life. You will probably work several jobs before you find the one that you really like and can excell in. Stay optimistic.
