The Democrats have passed a lot of legislation, keeping with their so called 100 hours.

The problem is most of it may get Vetoed by Bush. Time will tell if their 100 hours was successful.

the simple fact is... with only a simple majority in the senate... they can't pass the bills...

the house has been super busy passing everything and more that they said they would, but Republicans won't budge in the senate, and you have to have more than a simple majority vote there, if I remember correctly, so their hands are somewhat tied...

in other words... they don't have enough votes in the senate to pass legislation...unless some Republicans jump on...

Dems have the majority, to set the agenda, but not the votes to pass the agenda... could be a long two years...

and do any republicans actually follow politics? I know where many democrats stand on many different issues and many of the ideas that they have? to say they have none, only shows your naive of what's going on...

It's all show. Some legislation will go through and give a boost to their biggest supporters, the unions. Other than that - I love gridlock. Nothing goes through and perhaps we can keep spending low for a few years. This is going to be real fun the next two years.

Look up EXACTLY how much a congressmen (or woman) is paid and what they have done for our country, and that'll be your answer. But m own opion is NO. They just passed a bill that makes it illeagle for an American to pretend to be a foreign citizen to go through college free! Doesn't it suggest something if we actually have to do that?!?!

Dems eliminated the big oil company tax breaks, increased student loan subsidies, voted to implement the 9/11 Commission recommendations, passed a 41% minimum wage increase, passed legislation reversing Bush's stem cell ban, and passed legislation allowing the federal government to negotiate lower drug prices with the big pharmaceutical companies.

THEY DID ALL OF THIS IN LESS THAN 100 HOURS!!!!!!!

This is far more than Repubes accomplished in six years of total control over all branches of government!

P.S. It is pathetic how I pointed to specific accomplishments while every Conservobot response makes an inaccurate generalization about how Dems are doing/will do nothing.

Hello! Reality is calling and you Cons are out to lunch ... waaayyyyyy out to lunch!

Congratulations. You have realized that Democrats will not be doing anything. Their entire platform was only a we hate Republicans campaign. They have NO ideas.
