It's part of your 'bedside manner'. A radiologist will often work with people (both colleagues and patients) who are under a great deal of physical, mental, and emotional stress. This stress often combines rational and irrational thoughts.

A radiologist is also often asked to interpret images that are not "obvious" to an untrained observer. Therefore, where appropriate, it's useful to a radiologist to understand the personalities and learning styles of their patients and colleagues in order to most effectively communicate the results in a credible manner.

Hey I am a psych major and want to know why I needed alot of things...chemistry, biology and three years of a language. Psychology for you might be that you have to work with people who have brain tumors ,, cancer etc. Psychology is almost a must with every major...if it is psych 101 you probably are learning about Freud, Pavlov and such. Do not worry you can pretty much ad lib this assignment just dig a little deeper into it. You will get nothing lower than a B trust me! Also you know that pre-requisites are a pain but hey it's college and they want you to be in touch with alot more than just your major they want you to be well rounded and hey half of this stuff you will forget anyways.
