It is an amazing story. The report on NPR with the doctor stressed, though, that this was simply not expected, though they are amazed that it did. Parents who go through the tragedy of premature labor and delivery hear this story and wonder if their baby can be saved, and the reality is that it's a case, by case situation. All of the things were in place for this little one to survive.... There are a lot of unknowns, now, as well, but I hope that all will be well, and that there will be no other problems. The doctor hoped to wean her from the oxygen at home by the age of 1.

The baby was in the womb, I believe, 21 weeks. I had a baby at 19 weeks and 3 days. He did not even have a chance to take a breath. I hope and wish that everyone that reads this understands that a 21 week fetus shouldn't be able to survive but this one did. I applaud her mother and hope she lives a wondrful fruitful life.( I applaud the tiny one as well, but that should go without saying! )

I did see it! As a mother of a former preemie, it makes me feel thankful, that we have such wonderful NICU's and soo much technology, to help these babies live and lead perfectly wonderful and normal lives. I always donate to the March of Dimes, just for this reason, they are the only org. that is REALLY researching the causes of premature births, and were a big help to me and my hubby, when our 2nd daughter was born 7 weeks early.

God no! I did with my son, he ended up being born 4 days later! I placed a touch message conserving 'can not wait to fulfill you Dad!' interior, and my husband became so satisfied! We lost a touch one at 26 weeks too, and that i continually placed a touch message in a card from her too. i'm 40wks pregnant with #3 now, and that i'd be putting a message from this toddler interior the cardboard this year too. they're his toddlers, and he's a good Dad to them, so he advantages a touch popularity for a job nicely performed!
