A question for all Sims 2 owners!?

I am planning to buy the Sims 2 pc software and I read a lot of the reviews claiming that you need an updated computer to do a good job: Well, I have the Dell Dimension 4600C and i've had it for over 2 years. The computer is-

Intel (R)
Pentium (R) 4 CPU 2.66 GHz
2.66 GHz, 256 MB of RAM

idk if thats enough, maybe your computer is similar to mines, please share your opinion whether or not i should get the Sims2 + Expansion Nightlife! Btw, I don't know if it helps or not, i have a external harddrive of 250 Gbs.

Your computer is not that much different from mine, so it should be okay. The only thing that i'm worried about is your video card.

Dells usually have a decent card in them, that would be the only thing that i would be checking, as sims 2 demands a good graphics card.

Minimum System Requirements for The Sims 2
If you have a T&L capable video card with at least 32 MB of video RAM then you need at least:
800 MHz processor or better
256 MB RAM if Windows Vista, XP, Windows ME, Windows 98 or Windows 2000
At least 3.5 GB of hard drive space
If you have a non-T&L capable video card (an Intel Extreme Graphics or a Radeon 7000/VE Series) then you need at least:
2.0 GHz processor or better
256 MB RAM if Windows Vista, XP, Windows ME, Windows 98, or Windows 2000
At least 3.5 GB of hard drive space
Get the most current driver for your video card. The manufacturers usually have the video drivers on their sites for you to download. Visit the nVidia site, the ATI site or the support site for your computer's manufacturer for the latest drivers for those video cards.

I have Sims 2 also, youre requirements are enough to install Sims 2 ang nbight life. if not check the sims 2 requirement in either the game pack or www.sims.com for more info. have fun simming hehe
