Is there any technical work that needs to be done for upgrading memory or just buy the right memory and stick it in the slot. Thanks for your time

Pretty much just buy the right memory and stick it in the right slot.

The type, model, and speed must be exact

and make sure the stick is seated good in the slot.

Yes stick it in the slot, make sure you get the right memory though, you may want to take out a stick of ram and take it with you when you buy the new ram to make sure you purchase the same type.

Putting in memory is one of the easiest things to do. Just buy the right type - and yes just a matter of sticking it in the slot until the clips click into position.

pretty much buy it and put it in. Just make sure you aren't putting too much memory into the computer. Computers do have limits even though those limits are pretty high.
