They are separable only in terms of differences in viewpoints, they are similar because they all meet at a junction called... truth.
I will give you an example, in philosophy, God is everywhere. In science, they say that 99.9% of the atom is a vacuum, and quantum physics say that this vacuum is dense it is not empty.
It has information that directs our DNA. I can go on and on but the important thing is...the mind thinks in terms of identities and differences,
this is why we separate things, essentially because the mind is directed by our senses, it sees identities and differences in color, texture etc.
Beyond the mind, that is where there are no identities nor differences ...in the level of consciousness. In that level, there's just love to create and love of creation! nothing else....that is why i said they all meet at the junction, and that is where truth is!

When you enter the realm of the very small traditional barriers breakdown. There are theories that allow matter to form from pure energy, things to be in two places at once and time to flow backwards. In the realm of string theory the so called hard rules of science don't always apply and philosophy can provide more guidance. I suspect that it also works the other way as well. When one get into the realm of the very large, when we are talking multiple universes, that the traditional rules also breakdown and again philosophy is the only thing that provides guidance.
We live in the middle ground were things are more or less steady state. We should not think that it must be this way for everything. After all we only see a very small sample of our universe.

Im many peoples minds, these topics are very separate. This is because many people find organizing a useful skill. But the fact of the matter is that they are not separate. Questions in philosophy have answers only explained quantum physics. The same way talking is the same as taking a crap. people need to stop separating things. Acceptance is a challenge.

They are easily separated if you know what they all really are.
Philosophy is the love or pursuit of wisdom or a search for the underlying causes and principles of reality.
Science is the written down observations of an observable phenomena (as different to technology which is the recreation of that observed phenomena).
Quantum physics is the attempt at philosophy through science.
