I know that Bonds hasn't been caught with steroids but i don't want himto break the record for the simple fact that he's probably the biggest a$$hole in the game.

Well said Andrew. He has no class at all. He lies, cheats, lets other people do his jail time. He is a disgrace to baseball. I blame baseball for letting this situation get to this point.

I want him to break the record, just because the media keeps telling me I should hate him. I think he's had a fantastic career.

And with the steroids, lots of guys took them and still do. But they haven't put up numbers like Bonds did.

I also don't care if he's an ***. I'm not looking for him to be a role model or drinking buddy. A lot of the greatest players of all time weren't very nice people.

The embarrassment might also force baseball to fix some of the things that are wrong with the game.

Biggest a_____e in the game?!!! He's the biggest crybaby,junkie,s.o.b. a_____e in the history of the game. When he breaks the record, it will not count as such to me or any of my family or any of my friends or any of the ball fans that I know!!!!!! This @#$%^&*(^%$ FOOL would have gone to the hall anyway. He was pretty darned good in Pittsburgh before he became a crybaby junkie and a liar!!! If baseball sose'nt wise up soon they are going to destrory everything they have rebuilt in the last decade. This IDIOT neds to GO AWAY forever and never be heard from again!!!! he abd others like him are a disgrace to the game and the memories of all the greats.Kids are supposed to look up to ballplayers. Would you want your kid looking up to and having as their hero the likes of Bonds? Not me!! He and all the others have spit on you and me and fans everywhere. He has spit on the game and gotten away with it. That's what really burns my butt!!! Him and the rest should be erased fom the game we all love and
respect!!!! After he breaks the record and retires, I'll be the first to say goodbye you rotten nogood , Well I have to keep it clean but I'm sure you get my jest. Other than the junkie, have a great baseball season and don't let him ruin a great game for you!!

I like Bonds. The more people "beat" on him the more I like him. He is not media friendly. The media belittles him. I wouldn't be media friendly either. What has the media done for the sport. The couldn't vote McGwire into the Hall? The media owes Mcgwire their ob. Baseball was falling apart in the late 90's. Mac and Sosa brought it back. Front page news. Who cares if Bonds took something. If I'm paying $50.00 a ticket I want to see 500 foot shots. People think that the Babe was a saint. He was an alcoholic and womanizer. Ty Cobb was a racist. They are both in the Hall. Do you all know that players in the past did not take some sort of altering drug? I don't.

He is further ruining the game of baseball with his attitude and his obvious performance enhancing substance abuse. If he breaks the all-time home run record, I hope baseball takes a big hit at the gates.
The Giants have lost a lot of credibility as a team by signing him to one more year. They want to cash in this year on his breaking the record, meanwhile, even with Zito, it looks like a 4rd or 5th place finish. That 15 million dollars could have secured TWO good players for SF rather than the side show that Bonds represents.

I think Barry Bonds is a fine baseball player and deserves to break Hank Aaron's career home run record.

Barry will eventually break Aaron's mark before the 2007 All Star Game.

I agree with your comments. He hasnt tested positive for steroids. He is also an asshole. But there are a lot of guys who are assholes who are in the Hall of Fame (aka. Ty Cobb). It's not the Nice Guys Hall of Fame. It's the Baseball Hall of Fame created for the best players to play the game of baseball and Bonds is one of them if not the best player to play the game. He will break the record whether you like it or not.

Mr. Bonds was an extremely gifted athlete that saw his abilities and subsequent to that, his career, dwindling about 7 years ago. I'm all for physical conditioning, but no man at 37 years of age goes from being in good, even top physical condition to "walking oak tree" in the course of one or two years. Compare the photographs.

Unfortunately, he has all the personality of a cardboard popsicle and therefore the media and most fans don't like him for that.

Compare his story to those of McGwire and Sosa. Those two "saved" the game with their home-runs-a-plenty in 1998, and the media and fans ate it up. Why? Because they were gracious, even humble about their accomplishments. Regardless of ability, perceived self-aggrandizing egotistical jerkface blowhards just aren't well received.

Given their assumed use of the type substances that Mr. Bonds is accused of, or assumed to be using, unfortunately it's imperative that we allow this sad story to play out to its unfortunate end. In the interest of fairness, to remove or penalize Mr. Bonds' record without doing the same to McGwire's and Sosa's is morally and ethically impossible.

Compare again. A true hero like Henry Aaron hitting #715 on his way to 755 under death threats leveled against him and his family, and this guy- a perceived walking, talking entitlement junkie- assuming he's bullet-proof because "you can't prove it"? No comparison possible.

Mr. Bonds will get 756 and/or more, but the record will be on paper, not in the hearts of true fans.

To quote Dennis Miller... that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Liar, Cheater, A** Hole, disgrace to the game. I thought he did have a positive test last season, and then blamed it on a teammate, what a class act huh. The first positive is a slap on the wrist and no one is supposed to find out about it, but it got leaked.
Please correct me if I'm wrong about that.

I hope that he gets caught or gets some injury that prevents him from getting to the record because he is a cheater.

Anybody who thinks Bonds hasn't cheated also thinks OJ was framed.
I was a Giants fan since 1962. Barry Bonds turned me into an A's fan.

He's an a$$, you said it yourself. I hope he gets hurt and misses out on breaking the record. It will be the most anti-climactic moment in MLB history if and when he breaks this prestigous record of Hank Aaron's.
