Will these modernists stop at nothing, for God's sake? Leave the cap alone. It's one of only a few direct ties to baseball's golden (pre-Curt Flood) era.

And while we're at it, let's toss the DH rule, shall we?

Mr. USA: Why yes it was. What big word are you having trouble with? You could sound it out if it's too hard.

I agree. Baseball was more fun to watch back when I was a kid. I'm talking about the 60's and 70's. I'm so old, I remember pitchers in the AL batting. Kenny Brett was a good hitter. At least as good as his brother George. George even said Ken was better.

Very minor heresy. Of all the changes that have taken place in the game of baseball, I just don't see how the cap material is that important. Besides, change itself is as much a part of the game as anything else. Teams have been making uniform improvements non-stop since the early days of baseball, why should this be any different? If it's more comfortable for the players, I'm all for it.

As for the DH, I'll be the first to sign your petition.

No offense, but it looks like you're overreacting. I mean, its just a cap. What's the big deal about them changing a cap? That's like saying you want to wear a new suit to work. It really doesn't affect anything. And how do caps change the quality of baseball? It's not like they're changing the rules of baseball. They're just changing the cap.

I'm sure it will go over about as well as the new synthetic basketball did. I wouldn't look for it to last all that long.
