how can i get rid of pop up messages for regestry cleaner?

I purchased a rebuilt computer & have a message popping up telling me to use a registry cleaner. I have scanned with norton and am sure everything is fine. Is there anyway to stop these messages

if norton cant kill it try going to Panda Active Scan - it's an online scan and scans for viruses and spyware. But yes also get adaware or spybot - get it from a safe site i recommend pcworld.com

Download and install SpyBot, it will get rid of the adware for you.
