as a student in college, a lot of college students gain weight for many reasons, the main ones being:
1. mom and dad aren't monitering what you eat anymore
2. Most college cafiteria's are all-you-can-eat
3. nearly every meeting for any club save athletic clubs draw you in with the promise of free food
4. DRINKING
5. all that studying and partying doesn't leave much time for the gym
6. a lot of not so healthy foods are disguised as healthy foods by the school eating venues

Considering the fact that you have to sit and study, sit and study, sit and study! Then you rush off to the nearest McDonald's for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! But I fixed the problem, though! I took a gym class! So now I can walk on Mondays and Wednesdays for 45 minutes and lose all that extra baggage from McDonalds! :)

For one thing your not as active and you also
start eating out more.
Try to cut back on fried foods and join a gym
or walk about 30 minutes a day on your own
time.
Also in college you tend to party a little to hard,
just take it a little slower.

Have Fun!!

because students are too lazy to save money by going to the market to get a lot of food for a lot less.

So they starve and wind up getting fast food
