islam has currently and has a long history of using terrorism tactics.... intimidation, threatening and killing civilians, till they flee for safety leaving their land for them to take over and then demanding another islamic state, currently this is going on in southern thailand, southern philippines, africa, russia, china, yugoslavia, etc etc etc....

The answer is a NO.
Sorry to tell the truth.
Yes , Islam promotes peace.And Yes Quran mentions about peace.All the imans or muftis ( religious leaders) promotes and preaches about peace in the name of Islam.
Yet deep down inside their heart they all supports Osama Bin Laden. Will continues to hate the Americans and the Jewish.
It is not a question of islam banning terrorism.
Yes , some islamic countries made terrorism as illegal but it is done because of economic reason/s i.e trades with USA.
The answer is so simple.Theres the O.I.C.
And the muslim population is the worlds largest.

But they wont do it.As the O.I.C failed to unite all the muslim countries.

In my opinion if the quran is really the real words from god i think we have achieved world peace.

Islam should ban terrorism but if muslims did that they would no longer be muslims. The koran gives instructions for muslims to be terrorists, and "allah" even admits to being a terrorist in Surah 8:12.
The first foreign enemy to attack Americans peacefully engaged in international trade after the USA won its freedom were muslim terrorists from North Africa who were based in muslim nations that were in reality pirate states. Thomas Jefferson sent the US Navy and Marines to stop their terrorism using the only thing that works, superior military force. Muslims have not changed in the last 200 years, or the last 1400 years for that matter since muhammad set the terroristic example they follow to this day.

Sounds a lot like how your people got to where you are now, doesn't it? Islam has always banned terrorism; it's Muslims that don't. It is a sin in Islam to kill women, children, and the elderly in any type of war. It's also forbidden to destroy property, livestock, or crops. When the enemy stops fighting, Muslims are required to stop also.

Islam cannot "ban" terrorism, any more than Christianity, Judaism, or Buddhism could. While true Islam does not condone terrorism, there is not much they can do to prevent it, either, other than reporting suspicious activities like the rest of the citizenry.

Believers in all religions break the rules of their religion. The religion itself cannot stop that, only encourage repentance and forgiveness.
