I can print on my computer from word pad. However I cannot print when i am on line. No communication message.

Make sure your browser is pointed to the correct printer. Open your browser and Click FILE> print (or press CTRL + P) ... Don't use the Print shortcut!

A print dialogue box will appear. Select the printer you want to use from the list at the top of the box. Then click OK.

If that works, make sure that that printer is checked as being your default printer. Go to Control Panel for that.
