in gaming to turtle is to take a completely defencive tactic. if your playing a game of capture the flag for example, everybody on one team crowds around their home flag so the other team can't take it.

If you refer to a car being "Turtled", it mean's it's upside down on it's back.

Turtles can't usually right themselves without help if they're placed on their back, hence the analogy between them and a car upside down.
