What would her psychological diagnosis be called?

Is there a term for a refusal to make choices that better your life?

Can that same psych disorder be found in people who continuously vote republican?

As funny as I know this must sound - I think I'm really on to finally dissecting the enigma that is the conservative mind....
Working on a microscopic level perhaps, but still...

First of all, think of how many republicans are out there, do you honestly think that each and every one of them vote for the same reason and every one has a 'psychological disorder'? Impossible. As for the diagnosis to refuse to make better choices in your life, there are probably many that fit into that slot. One could be avoidant personality disorder, in which the person avoids things that he/she fears, even if it interrupts their normal life (like not going to a grocery store because they afraid they are too ugly for people to see them). A lot of 'disorders' charactarize people that go against common sense and do not better themselves.

Too convoluted! Life intertwined with politics! It sounds like you're trying to make a point re "Republicans", equating them with battered women!? Too deep for me..........
