where on the computer should i plug the mp3 cord?

i havent really download music to a mp3 before so i am kinda confuse...my cousin is asking me to put some music on her mp3 and i have no idea what to do...is there anyone who can give me intrustions on what to do..pls

it would be helpful to know what kind of mp3 player it is, but most likely it uses a USB port. Most of them do.

do you have a USB cable for the mp3 player?

If it has a silver rectangular plug, then plug it into the USB socket on your computer.
