Why do some people who yak, yak yak, all the time, tremble at the thought of having to give a speech?

Because the yak-ity-yak has no substance. Giving a speech means people are expecting something of the speaker.

Because when they yak to their friends, their friends can call them an idiot but they can just keep talking. When it comes to making a speech, that's the time they know their full of sh*t and if they speak in front of a group, so will everyone else.

Yakking and blah blahing are so easy. The yakers and blahers are not really talking to anybody but themselves even if you are sitting there as a loyal subject. They have to hear themselves speak, but when they have to get up in front of others they are on the spot being listened to, carefully planning what they are going to say, not likely ad libbing or able to be spontaneous at all. This could kill them.

Because the ones they yak to are friends or people they feel comfortable with. And an audience they don't know you so they judge you.
