An Arnold Palmer consists of half iced tea (either sweetened or unsweetened) and half lemonade. It is particularly popular in northern West Virginia and western Pennsylvania as well as the south, but is known throughout the United States. In some parts of the south and Baltimore, it is known as half and half. It is said to be the favorite beverage of legendary golfer Arnold Palmer [1]. The Arizona Beverage company has released this in two forms, a regular iced tea/lemonade combo, and one in their signature "tall" cans which is sweetened by Splenda Brand Sweetener.

There are three alcoholic variations on the Arnold Palmer drink. This first is known as the Tom Arnold, consisting of the original half iced-tea/half lemonade mixture, with vodka added to taste. Another variation is the John Daly, contains 1 1/4 oz citrus vodka, 1/4 oz of triple sec that is then filled with 1/2 lemonade and 1/2 iced tea. Finally, the "Hard Arnold" or "Stiff Palmer" is a mixture of 1/2 Mike's Hard Lemonade and 1/2 Twisted Tea (most common in the midwest). [2]
