rod laver
Rodney George ("Rod") Laver (born August 9, 1938, in Rockhampton, Australia) is a former tennis player from Australia who was the World No. 1 player for up to 7 consecutive years. More famously, he is the only player in tennis history to have twice won all four of tennis' Grand Slam singles titles in the same year—first as an amateur in 1962, and then again as a professional in 1969. For this achievement, Laver is considered by many tennis fans to be the greatest player of all time.

Roger Federer...he's so good it's scary. 10 grand slams and he's only 25. Pete Sampras only has 14 and Federer will pass that in no time flat. He could seal the deal this year with a French Open win, but Nadal may still be too much of a stud on clay to knock from his perch.

Rod Laver is the best tennis player of all time. Twice he won 4 slams in one year - the only person to ever do that. Furthermore, he was a credit to the game - that is why Australia named their stadium after him.

Bjorn Borg. Give these modern day players wood rackets and let's see them play, todays game is all power and baseline, its absolutely boring, Borg played much better players, todays crop are a bunch a soft, pansies. Roger Federer? Give me a break, hell Sampras was better than Federer on his worst day.

I think we're looking at him right now...Roger Federer...for a while I thought his winning was due to weak competition (and to an extent I still do), but the fact he's been as dominating as he has been is a credit to his consistency and game.
