i went thru menopause just like my mom, started at age 38 and lasted until age 52.......and it was awful....you really do not want to go there earlier than you have to.
just remember......hot flashes...mood swings....night sweats....crying for no reason....freaking out for no reason....i finally went to a psych doctor and started taking anti depressants
i also was on hormone replacement therapy.....
i think the depression was the worst......................i wouln't wish this on anybody !!!! i felt like i was going CRAZY !!! and yet i have heard that so many women don't have any symptoms at all and boy are they lucky

I have heard of a woman going through menopause at the age of 16. I don't think there is anything that can make you go through it early. It's all genetics.

My girlfriends mom was in her 30's before she ever had her first period and she was in her 30's when she went through menopause. There is nothing that you can do or take to go through menopause early. Why rush it? I was in my late 40's when I went through it.

My cousin went through early onset menopause at 20. She did not do anything to make it happen. In fact she did not want it to happen. She & her hubby wanted children, but had to adopt instead. I am in menapause now. Trust me its not fun! Let it happen naturally, don't force it. You might regret it if you do.

Mid twenties.
It depends on your genetics. When did your mum start menopause?

(& .... why in the world would you want to rush it?)

i've read that it can start in your early 30's and can possibly start even earlier if you don't have kids.
