Not very far...

From the 'heart' of Mayfair to the 'heart' of Soho (i.e. just two places more or less in the middle of both) is about .6 miles. Technically, you can be a few thousand feet away from the closest points in both, or upto 1.5 miles from the far corners of both.

Depends, of course, on where you want to go.

Basically, a nice walk, or a very short cab ride (and if traffic is nuts, probably quicker to walk). A cab would be £3-£4 depending on which route you took. (I'd walk it to be honest, unless I was dressed nice and it was pouring outside)

Mayfair Soho

Both are at the centre of London and are boadering each other. Literally, from the centre of Soho to the edge of Mayfair is just a 10 minutes walk. You don't need a cab at all. There are hundreds of busses going both ways.

Soho is at Picadilly underground station and Mayfair is the next station.

All the best!/

how long is a piece of string; cab fares depend not just on length of journey but also time taken; so if you are travelling when traffic is log-jammed you can expect to pay double or more; btw ... not far to walk and a pleasant safe area
