who remembers most of what they learned in highschool?

I dont.
I love history, and when I get into discussions pertaining to something I studied for months. I can barely get my facts straight. Whats with this? Its annoying. I love learning and knowing things.

Interesting question. It IS frustrating to be sure.

You are one of many who "remember" what they've studied for only as long as the "need" to remember is relevant to their own needs, the latter of which are only relevant to their choices in life.

You really only enjoy the PROCESS of learning, and the pleasure of hearing/reading and being tested on the facts while you are experiencing the process. Once finished, it's on to the next phase, whatever they may be.

Enjoy the process while you can, life will give you many, many opportunities to "forget." again.

I'm in high school and forgetting things in the future is one of my fears. In high school, most students learn the information for the test....then forget it. And when I get out of high school, I know there will be a time when I need to remember something I learned...and I'll forget. And when that happens there won't be a teacher to pass out notes and answer all my questions.
