Yes it does both rotate and revolve.
The Moon orbits the Earth in 27.3 days and rotates around its axis in 27.3 days. This synchronization in the orbital and rotation period causes the Moon to always present the same side towards Earth.
Also, because of Earth's rotation around its axis, we can always see the Moon.

Those are the reasons why we do not perceive its rotation or revolution.

Yes. It revolve around the earth and rotates on its axis. Its rotation period happens to match its revolution period (tidally locked). This means that the same side of the moon is always facing the earth.

Actually, one side of the moon is heavier than the other...the near side is heavier than the far side...when the moon was young, its crust was thinner on the now near side...that's why there are so many more lava flows there than the far side...

It does both, synchronously. That means that it rotates at a proportional interval to the speed at which it revolves. It's not like one side of the Moon is heavier...

From Earth the moon appears to be stationary (non-rotational), but from outside the Earth-moon system the moon would appear to rotate as it orbits the Earth.

Yes, it does both.
Its period of rotation on its axis is almost exactly equal to its period of rotation around the earth (about 29.5 days approx).
