I've read the Da Vinci Code, and I just want to know how many people actually believe what they implied about the bible, and Jesus, and why they believe what they believe. I'm kinda in the middle, being that I was brought up as a christian, but a lot of the points they made in the book, made a lot of sense. So I just kinda want to here what other people think.

Did you feel the book doubted the divinity of Jesus? Implying that he was a man and had a bloodline? The debate about Jesus's divinity has been in contention even within the church, even as Caiphus was demanding crucifixion. Even 325 or so years later at the Councils of Nicea, where the Bible was first put together. There the debate flared again from a priest named Arius. Then again another 300 years later, still, as a fella named Mohammad called Jesus a prophet of God in the Koran. As a prophet he would be no more than a man. Caiphus demanding crucifixion doubted Jesus's claim to being the messiah. The Messiah would break his church. And it did.
The Jewish faith comes to us through one man, according to the Bible, Abraham. Even the House of David is related to Abraham. Jesus being a son (or decendant) of the House of David would have the same claim but through Issac. Even Mohammad claimed a bloodline to him, through Ishmeal.
Knowing that who do you think YHWH (pronounced Yah-Wee),
God and Allah are? These are the names given by respective grouping to the same entity.
Did Jesus have a bloodlline? I think he may have. If he were sent here by God to experience what Man experiences, why are marriage and children exempt from his experience, according to the church?

basically might desire to declare I examine the e book and enjoyed it, yet I additionally understand whilst i replaced into analyzing it that it replaced into listed as fiction and written as fiction. It does have some fact in it simply by fact each and every lie has a grain of fact and theories (like the single approximately Jesus and Mary being married) are in reaction to some rational innovations and a few information the factor is that it has no longer been shown. I accept as true with Dr. Biker it relatively is an entire waste of money to disprove a e book/movie that the author printed as fiction. What relatively is the factor different than to create extra money for the author and the movie. it relatively is unlike Dan Brown suggested now examine this, it relatively is the gospel fact.

Again, IT IS FICTION. To suggest that Jesus had a romantic interest in Mary Magdalene and fathered a child, to suggest that the crucifixion was a made-up story is to attempt to "fool all the people all the time." It ought not to work. Why would a work of fiction give us reason to doubt the book that has withstood 2000 years of scrutiny and is still the best-seller of all books?

Ed Bradley of 60 Minutes did a story on that last year. Read the story and then add it to the information you already have and then make up your mind :-)

The DaVinci Code is a work of fiction. Sure, it is based on true events, but many things in it are partially or wholly fabricated.

It has quite a possibility to be true, though I somehow doubt that it is.
