Why is Pablo Neruda so popular even in english?

I like Federico Garcia Lorca. I enjoy his work translated because it has tons of imagery and it's very lyrical. I was even inspired to learn Spanish to understand EXACTLY all that he meant. I also like Arthur Rimbaud and I learned French for him.
That's the main attraction of good poetry: not the words themselves but the connection you can make to the work; how it inspires you. A good poet speaks to "THE" reader, not just "A" reader.
It doesn't matter what language they write in.

The main focus on interpreted writings is not only to translate but to keep the same meaning even if your words do not trasalate word per word.
I rarely find translated writings that I enjoy.
