How come physical violence often results from mental anguish?

They don't always. If you're talking about breakdowns, it's usually fight or flight (so I'd guess there are elevated hormonal levels--e.g. adrenalin--and such invoked by the trauma they aren't processing well).

But I'm not sure what "going mental" is if it's not that.

becoz, everyone has hidden desire, i mean... u know sometimes we wanna kill people but we know that it's not right so we dont do it,

but if we''re mentally ill, we did it. coz we couldnt think well anymore..
