I'm a runner and sometimes when I run, I spit. Once while I was running a half marathon, I spit. Two guys ran past me and one said "real lady-like there". I looked back at him and said "oh I'm sorry, I was really trying to impress you!". The guy he was running with looked embarrassed. Would he pat a guy on the back and say "manly spitting there"?

Don't count on, it, Dierdre. Oh, and by the way, there are lots of male politicians who are able to handle themselves in the political arena and don't scream. SOME men scream, but so do SOME women. Guys certainly aren't going to be afraid of you if you exercise with them; it depends on the guy. Some (especially a lot that I know) would think it was really cool. As you, Wendy G, and Baba Yaga always love to say, GENERALIZING IS BAD.

Oh, and I don't think the men would be afraid of you for any reason other than legal, because if you started **** with them I'm betting they could flatten you. Like it or not, testosterone is produced at a rate roughly 15 times that of women (got this from a nutritionist) in men; testosterone builds muscle and therefore strength; more strength means you can beat somebody with less strength (considering they don't have weapons/advanced martial arts skills, which are overrated anyways).

Last point; men only think women who scream are bitches because... they usually are. ANYBODY who screams in public presentation usually has some sort of issue, plain and simple. People have a lot more respect for somebody who can calmly dictate something; those who don't probably aren't worth their support anyway.

Remember, now, GENERALIZING IS BAD!

To answer the question: They swear. That's supposed to be considered rude and below women, right?

Well lets see I dont have the equipment to scratch and rearrange myself in public. I would say that I am extremely vocal and am not afraid to speak out in public. When men do that they are considered strong and when women do that they are considered shrill and bitches. Another double standard, as can be seen in the political arena when women get loud to get a point across and it is frowned upon. I am also into fitness and lift weight regularly at the gym. Men get all bent out of shape because they feel like I am infringing on "their", territory. They better be careful or I may infringe on their locker rooms. No doubt it would scare them who think they are fearless.

This is a habit that I don't even realize I am doing until I see someones face after I have done this. I am talking to someone and i get phlegm in my throat so I caugh it up and spit it out, guys think it is grouse (so do girls), but what am I supposed to do hold it in and enjoy it floating around in my throat or mouth. NOT HAPPENING, I am spitting it out. Guys can do it so can I. Also my favorite saying is Fu_k that! My dad was a truck driver, I inherited his precious language and wonderful habits. God rest his soul, LOVE 2-U DAD!

I take my man for granted sometimes... that seems mostly masculine. He puts in 40 - 60 hours a week at work and comes home and does the dishes and the laundry and dusts and vacuums....

I don't say thank you often.

Seems masculine too.

Personally, I am very sexually expressive. Several of my girl friend have called me a perv, and a couple of my guy friends as well. I have heard from many people that in this way I am "like a guy".

guys dont like it when girls burp or fart or anything... but to them, its okay if another guy does it

this one guy told me once that if a girl burped in front of him, he would break up with her

everyone does these things so i dont know why men get so worked up over it

-Watch a sport and completely comprehend it.
-Spit in public (I don't, but I've seen some women who do)
-Lift weights.
