not me that's for sure, as life is never easy and as straightforward as it seems to be because you never know what is lying round the corner or what you expect from it. people who assume that life is easy are generally ones who haven't suffered or have seen or experienced other people suffering. life is indeed a challenge where you encounter and have to overcome all sorts of hurdles. yes it can be undaunting, difficult, complicated and sometimes things don't go your way or acsording to plan. but, the turth is that's the way it goes and sometimes you have to take the rough with the smooth. i've never approached it as being simple and straightforward back then, and i'll never approach it as being simple and straightforward- now and ever again

No one has it easy.
Even the rich have problems just not on the same level as the commoner folk.
Where we struggle to survive, they have problems of the opposite variety. We are born to deal with various things, and all suffer. But it is easier to suffer when you know your rent is paid and there is a chauffeur living over the garage.
Life is not meant to be easy. How boring is that? Life is where we come to learn, to garner lessons. Granted it is harder for some of us.
However, easy is relative. Consider a woman in Africa who has 8 children to feed who is a human carrier. For 25Cents a day will carry huge loads weighing a hundred pounds or more up hills and across rivers with no bridges. Yet, she is lucky compared to the woman in the refugee camp who has even less.
Nope, life is not easy. Decisions to make every day, often tough ones. Work. Kids. Bills. Men. Women. Wars. Taxes. Disease. etc etc.
Amazing how we survive ... or do we? We die when it is over!
These quotes really cover everything to do with the challenge of life:
Life is a grindstone. Whether it grinds us down or polishes us up depends on us. -- Thomas L. Holdcroft
We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give. -- Winston Churchill
Live as if your were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever. -- Gandhi
For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin--real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life.-- Alfred D. Souza
Expecting life to treat you well because you are a good person is like expecting an angry bull not to charge because you are a vegetarian.-- Shari R. Barr
All of the animals except for man know that the principle business of life is to enjoy it.-- Samuel Butler
Difficult times have helped me to understand better than before, how infinitely rich and beautiful life is in every way, and that so many things that one goes worrying about are of no importance whatsoever...-- Isak Dinesen
There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle. -- Albert Einstein
Attack life, it's going to kill you anyway. -- Steven Coallier
Life isn't worth living unless you're willing to take some big chances and go for broke.-- Eliot Wiggington
Being on the tightrope is living; everything else is waiting. -- Karl Wallenda
Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyways. -- Anonymous

Even if life was easy it would be quickly changed around like a game of chess, ie the people element in one's life would probably grind you down, if its not one thing its another, basically the concept of life is simple, there are ways to deal with difficulties that we haven't or won't learnt to adapt to, middle class does not mean an easy life, it depends on the individuals attitude, ie a propensity to overspend etc causes financial problems which in turn creates mayhem in other areas of a person's life. Life is easy if you don't have to deal with hard nosed people, any people for that matter, if you don't have to participate in the little ongoing race that is human competition, but if you don't let your mind entertain negative thoughts that literally you won't see it as really tough, I think anyone who sees life as easy is missing the point. Life in the UK is tough, you need eyes in the back of your head as well, but I'm not paranoid, give me paranoia and I'll eat it as a cake, sliced, with doubled whipped cream and strawberries atop, ta.

If life was easy then there would be no fun in life. If life was easy then we would never learn from mistakes. Life must be a challenge or there would be no point to life
