Do you mean "I ethane A carbohydrate?", because the answer to that would be no. Carbohydrates are based on CH2O. They have to have the oxygen in them. Ethane is a hydrocarbon.

Ethane = contains C + H. so it is a hydrocarbon and not a carbohydrate

Glucose, C6H12O6 is a carbohydrate = C + H2O (water)

6C + 6(H2O) = C6H12O6
