First, as a mother I hope you will not become one of those dead beat dads but I can see by your question you are taking responsibility for your action therefore, that I am proud of you. As an encouragement it will be hard but you can do it together with your "wife" I hope are you planning to get married? Both of you just have to be together in planning from now on you will have to give up a lot of sacrifices but by sticking together you can do it. Don't give up school - this is the biggest misktake a lot of youth do - you need education to get ahead and get a good job to support your kid only way to do this is to get a degree. What are your interest? Find a job that is close to your interest. If you are 16 you can get a student permit to work. I do not know where you live but you can get a part time night job - ontario airport hires custodians for night shifts, pizza shops hires a lot of teenagers, many places hire 16 year olds now. How about your church community if you belong to one, how about your parents are they supportive? When the baby comes are they willing to help watch for the kid. You said you get good grades and is in soccer there are colleges that have programs that will help teenagers who are on family way but you have to keep up your good grades and be in the soccer team, they have sponsorship programs you just have to get your teachers, counselors involved to help you find one, that is what they are there for to help you = do not be afraid to ask them for help. I know it is scary but you can do it just stay focus and ask for help and reach out for help like you are doing now and of course never forget the almighty one - whom you can do all things through Him who strengthens you. If you live in california contact me or if you need to have serious advice contact me I will help you.

Well, ok, you're headed in the right direction. You want to do right
by the child by getting a job, but you are so, so young!

Have you given any thought to adoption? Have you talked to your
girlfriend AND parents about this option?

I'm going to assume you have the support of BOTH sets of parents here;
First, ask yourself what YOU like to do now. Besides soccer, what kind of hobbies do you have? Now,
try to figure a way to make it a career. Example, a person that
loves photography could go after journalism type of jobs. Don't forget too, that your high school probably offers career type classes to get you ready for the work world. Next, go talk to your counselor! They have so many resourses to help young teens in trouble.
Good luck!

Are you in the UK? If so, you would be entitled to maternity benefit if you got another job now and worked for at least 6 months of your pregnancy. Then you can claim 90% of your wages for 9 months. Otherwise, the best thing for you to do would be to sign on for job seekers allowance, because then if you can't get a job, you will be entitled to other benefits.

Get an internship at a mortgage company & learn the business. I have a lot of clients in various sales careers. The mortgage brokers tend to make the most money with less effort & little travel if any. You can stay close to home & work regular hours. Most of my mortgage clients make 100 to 200K annually.

Well, you can work part-time at FedEx or UPS and raise your baby. If you were smart, you will give up your baby to a good family. It's not abandon. It's to give yourself a chance to have a better life.
The girl you shacked up is not from love, it's lust. No money no honey. Low pay job will cause fights and hardship. Think about it for the both of you.

The best thing you can do is try a fast food restaurant. The will hire you faster. Until you are older employer see you as "immature". So you have to start off small until you can prove yourself.

You might have to drop the soccer to take care of the baby. I'd break my neck, going door to door applying to jobs.
