Depend, If the girl has the body sure...but if she's wearing jeans and her thong is hanging out (not so sexy in my eyes) But if its like a romantic setting or something...yeah its sexy. Thongs cover up just enough to leave you imagination wondering but just enough to turn you on.

A thong is the biggest turn off in the world unless it's on a girl that could be a model.

I yearn for the return of traditional underwear and the long lost pantie line. I would hate to see the skid marks in those slatternly thongs.

the thong itself isnt the turn on in most cases,but the person who is wearing it.then the imagination does the rest

Depends entirely on the girl, my sister in law (a top fashion model) took me to the beach in Brazil in '86 when they were new and I had a v. hard time disguising my appreciation from the wife (her older sis!)
