I am in favor of a woman running for president. Had Elizabeth Dole run in 1996 instead of her husband she would have won. But Hillary Clinton is a frightneing prospect as President.

I would not vote for someone just because of their gender. But I would not for for Hilary for any reason. I'd like to point out that in the beginning all statesmen were men and look at us now. There are more women getting into politics all the time, as Mayors, Police Chiefs, Governors and some rule whole countries. A woman President may be exactly what this nation needs. Whose to say? There was one answer about the terrorists not respecting women in office, that may be true but I bet a woman could do a better job of cooling off and breaking down of some of the solid barriers that the terrorists hide behind. She knows how to handle children and I bet she would be just as good at handling these naught terrorists. She wouldn't just slap 'em on the hands and say 'bad boys', she would get very serious and pull out some surprises.

This woman has already been bought and sold. Hilary Clinton doesn’t have the experience, in the military or intelligence sectors of our government to be effective in a time when we are fighting a war oversees and conducting a broader “war” on terrorism. Normally, this would not be an impediment...there have been many good Presidents, with no serious military credentials –– her husband being one of them. However, in order to rectify the quagmire that Bush has got us in, and also to redirect the “War on Terrorism” more effectively, and away from this Cowboy/Rambo strategy employed by Bush and his Henchmen, requires someone of either military or strategic competence. Hillary might be good at making chocolate chip cookies... but right now we need someone who demonstrates mastery of both military tactics and foreign diplomacy.

I don't think Hillary is the answer. I'm not against a woman running but this one is not right:::::THIS WILL OPEN YOUR EYES by Paul Harvey

I think a woman would make an excellent president. Women are natural negotiators by nature, it's part of our "role" to be peacemaker. We're also very observant (mostly) which is also a plus. We do, after all, have to make up for lack of physical ability. I admire her and how she handled her husband's affair with her head held high and never losing her dignity through the whole thing, and she is an EXTREMELY intelligent woman with fresh, sound ideas that could help America.

I would vote for the best candidate. IT does not matter what gender that person is .It would not be Hilary because I disagree with most of her views on running the country . If C. Rice Could be persuaded to run I think she would be a competent and good president.

Being a woman doesn't affect my vote one bit. I am concerned about where she stands on the issues, especially ones that am concerned about.
So far I don't see her taking the positions I want and so I can't see her being the President I want at this time. That can always change in the next few months but she has some work to do.

A woman prez yes but not Hillary, I have no respect or confidence in her, she's so ambitious she stayed with her husband even though he treated her like crap over and over just so SHE could get to the white house herself, and she's too divisive, not a person who could bring people together.

I'm all for it. Because we all know that America just isn't ready for a woman president. The upside is, if she gets elected she will more than likely be taken out by some toothless person from South Carolina who "ain't gon' let no women be pressident"
