No double entendres, please.
It occurs to me that I know many conservatives - me being one - who disagree with some of Bush's actions while still believing him to be a good President overall. For instance, I really dislike the way he's handled the budget, and I'm not happy about his approach to illegal immigration.
I can't, however, think of similar issues where liberals have expressed disagreement with any of Clinton's policies. So, libs - educate me. Was Clinton your idea of the perfect President? If not, what did he do wrong in your opinion?

Contrary to what you may think, I don't know any liberals who think Clinton was close to being perfect.
He made a terrible compromise on gays in the military.
He signed DOMA
He bungled Healthcare reform - shot for the moon and didn't get anything done on it.
That's three biggies.
The best I can say about him is that he tried hard to hold his own in the face of a strong Conservative Republican majority in Congress which blocked everything he tried to do.
A lot of Clinton's lasting appeal came from a martyr effect after the Republicans made asses of themselves impeaching him.

He blew it when Monica 'blew it'... As for the current administration, it's true that many Conservatives are in disagreement of some of the things he said and did, however, it would be good for people to know that we also feel that no matter who is in office during war time, must be supported by all...troops, and those at home.
Clinton didn't follow through otherwise 9/11 wouldn't have happened. Watch the video below and it will clue you in as to how long al Queda has been planning for this, where the terrorist are being bred and where the money is coming from. In watching this, you'll know that the former administration knew what we were up against and didn't try to stop it when they had the chance. (from CN8 in New Jersey)

As an UNAFILLIATED voter in the past 4 elections.....
Clinton improved the scene for the less well off, as a teacher I saw an improvement in the economic well being of middle class and poor parents......
Bush has made schools a target...if your new across the border Hispanic students don't do well, neither do you....the southern Christian way of making Yankees pay.....and I live in Denver Colorado
Clinton blew it by caving in to the oil agenda.....if he had decided to support alternatives to fossil fuels, 911 may never have happened.
The President that brings true change into our energy situation will be considered a hero...............and an end to building our military might to preserve that pipeline flow.
Our planet cannot bear it, and no one should have to pay for heat, water, or transportation,,,,,,,,,,,

Of course he wasn't perfect. But his popularity rating was still very high when he left the presidency.
His personal "moral failure" was not exactly to his credit. He failed himself, his family, and his God. He also failed those who looked to him as an example. Someone might say he also failed when he lied about it - but I would like to ask them if they would have lied about something like that!
He should have pursued Al Quaida to the limit before leaving the presidency, because the regime that followed him did not believe Al Quaida was the threat, being obsessed with Iraq. So his mistake there was not going all the way in pursuing Al Quaida, understanding what he understood.
He failed to get a universal health system going, but it was not for lack of trying. The Congress was controlled by the Republicans, who could never accept universal health care. Being wealthy, they all had a good insurance policy.

There has never been a perfect president nor will there ever be.
some are more tolerant than others. What Clinton did wrong was lie to his wife. I would say 75% of all men have done the same if they were to be honest. Bush has lied to the country. But he is what we've got and must live with for another year and a few months. Some people will give you a silly answer. I 'm telling you what is real. You be the judge.

No, it replaced into mendacity under oath that replaced into important with the courting with Lewinsky. Slick Willy replaced into no longer the 1st President to have extra-marital affairs on a similar time as in place of work and could never be the final. portion of it fairly is through fact statistically you will never be elected whilst you're single or have been divorced. President Reagan replaced into the only President that has ever been elected that have been divorced. as far through fact the completed witch hunt in the time of the Clinton years, it replaced into the Republicans attempting to make the Democrats look undesirable to place their social gathering in a extra effectual image for the subsequent election. Kinda sounds like what the Democrats are doing with "W" now! Does all human beings incredibly think of that the Democrats incredibly provide a rats in the back of approximately President Bush's attorney prevalent? Heck no, they only desire some undesirable PR for the republicans. the two events might desire to provide up attempting to make the different look undesirable and examine out to make themselves look reliable incredibly, wow, this is a thorough theory isn't it?

There are only a few areas where a Leader can be judged and one of them is the advancement of the country on the international scene and the financial scene. Bush squandered trillions of dollars on an idiot war on terror, made the trade deficit run into trillions into the red and made America the most hated country on earth. Now Clinton did the exact reverse on all that and He was liked all over the world. You see ?
Other things like gays, abortion, etc come last.

Clinton was pretty close to perfect, he only "blew" it by having an affair with Monica Lewinsky. When Clinton left office, we had no deficit, now we are what a billion dollars in debt?
