i have had this guy ask me if i wanted to make out. And i was like ... is that kissing? and he was just like nevermind. i really don't know the difference between kissing and making out.

Basically they are the same. I suppose some may also assume making out has potential to include other things,..., groping and ... and ..

there used to be a difference, but there really is none any more. making out can be just a kiss on the lips, or a french kiss, but there IS a difference between making out and hooking up .. hooking up meaning you went farther than tongue.

kissing is shorter, and one action. making out goes on for a longer time, maybe with kisses in between. Making out can involve the tongue (aka french kissing) and other sexual things. it can be fun! making out is a form of kissing, but kissing is not making out.
