The celebrity section has always been sooooo boring. However, you have to keep in mind that there has always been that certain culture of people who just think they have to know what is going on in the "in" world.
You have the schmoozers who really think they can gain some type of ceebrity status by endearing themselves to a particular celebrity. Then you have the real ignorant folks that think everything done in Hollywood is so unique.
The short answer is, as long as there are celebrities, there will be someone willing to talk about them and associate themselves with them either idealogically or otherwise. Yes, we have become a screwed up nation!!!
