Seriously, I'm looking for something creative and realistic. I'm a student/actress, and it should fit my lifestyle. What do you say?

Instead of giving up something why don't you volunteer somewhere...it will make you and others you help feel better about themself. If that's not up your alley you could give up, caffine, soda, procrastinating, swearing, or drinking.

The idea is that you refrain from eating/drinking/enjoying something for the Lenten season. What has become too important to you? Coffee, soda, chocolate, meat, candy, taking a cab instead of walking?, driving when you could just stay home and save an unnecessary trip?
Instead of giving something up you can also take something on - reading spiritual materials, doing volunteer work, helping your neighbors, etc.
Blessings to you!

Every year I give up sweets. I know it's hard, but lent isn't suppose to be easy. And plus I always feel good at the end of it knowing that I stuck it out, and went that long without any sweets!

*If you don't like that, try something that you do everyday. Or maybe instead, don't give up something, but do something, like talking to the new kid everyday, reaching out to one person each day, or talk to a new person everyday etc...*

When I was Lutheran I gave up red meat for lent. Man that was SO hard but it was worth it. Now I'm southern baptist and eat Casseroles for a living. *chuckle*

I swear, when lent was over I practically closed taco bell.

I am an actress too!! What angency do you work for?!?!? We should compare headshots later! lol. Anyway, I am giving up Dove commercials. They are getting annoying. I am just going to say no till lent's over. I suggest you give up auditioning for hand commercials, becauseI think they are pointless to interview our personalities when the whole topic is my hand. lol you get it. Anyway, either give up hand commercials, or acting classes. That's my other options, I want to challenge myself to see how much I really know without having somone review with me 6 days a week. It won't hurt my feeling if you go the other way completeyl and don't take mine. Do whatever.

Look at your bad habits.

Are you cynical?
Are you sarcastic?
Do you gossip?

Find the one bad habit that hurts your relationship with God the most.

Work on that bad habit during Lent and then when Lent is over keep working on it.

With love in Christ.
