Tennessee, baby! The people are friendlier, there is more to do, there is more interesting Civil War Heritage, the state is much prettier (Natchez Trace, Smokies, etc.,) it has a more mellow atmosphere, and the food is SOOO good! Nashville is booming, Memphis is unique, and "Rocky Top" is a cool song!
Kentucky, for it to be so economically dismal, is very snooty and thinks it is "special." As for the small towns, they are not welcoming to outsiders at all. The horse farms are beautiful. But, the eastern KY mountains are not pretty at all after fall foliage; in fact, they are really quite trashy. I lived there--a crappy place! I'd even live in NYC or Cali before KY.

I live in Kentucky, but I love Tennessee so much more. There is absolutely nothing to do in Kentucky. I am bored out of my mind, which is why I am on here all the time.

Tennessee! I've driven trough both states numerous times to get to Chicago,Illinois and Tennesse is so much more beautiful. Kentucky has better chicken, but Tennesee wins.

I have only driven through both, but I liked Tennessee a lot more. It is further south and the people are more welcoming. The scenery is beautiful and the have good sweet tea.

Texas! We have NASA, Yao Ming, a couple of islands, spicy chilli, bluebonnets, and we're the second biggest state. (we're waiting for Alaska to melt) Also, we've been a country before! And we have armadillos, they rock!

I think Kentucky is pretty but the people are very uninviting. They think they're high class rednecks.
