I want to know if their influence is a positive factor on our govt

The answer is both yes and no. A group that has an agenda and forms a PAC is powerful in government. The question is, what does the PAC represent? If they represent good for the majority of the population they are then good. However, if they represent bad things, evil, etc. Then they are not good but they are powerful. The point which should be made is most people let others do the work because they are either uneducated, lazy or both and don't care what the PAC represents, good or bad. The lazy will become inslaved.

I want you to think like me so I am going to help you with anything just to get the vote to swing my companies way. The reason the government is going wrong is this type of thinking. Some issues would not be addressed if not for special interest groups, but the swing of a good thing has a bad side. There are always people thinking of ways to keep the good points of this while pushing the bad people out. We would be better of to scrap the whole thing.
