I have been looking for that information since you posted. I can find out who invented the vacuum cleaner but not the light. Now you have me wondering. I will do more research later.

this is a very interesting question my guess is that it was just an extra feature to try and get more people interested in buying it. why it makes any differnece im not sure.. its really pointless ..
