Wars can happen, but it's probably going to be a minor one or a hugely imbalanced one. These can't be considered a world war. The formation of the U.N and the current political situation will not allow for a World War. The only reason for countries to fight nowadays is if you are hosting terrorists or just suddenly go insane and blow up America. Even so, the first thing people will do is host talks. Imagine the political embarrassment if you go to war with a major country like France. Futhermore, according to a book I read, it shows how major U.S alllies have been supplying terrorists with weapons. I don't see a World War, do you?
A war between one country and another is not considered a World War, even if every single terrorist country gangs on America, it won't be considered a World War. It is only considered if most countries and nations take part in the war. Asia, Australia, North and South America, Africa, Europe. Can you imagine the things that you have to do to create a World War?

It already did. It was called the Cold War. The world is still trying to clean up the mess.

what ya on bout there's no world war three today's world is more advanced that the last world war and plus Wat's the point in war if there was a world war three i fink we wud all die cos the nuclear bombs would destroy the atmosphere therefore causing major floods from global warming so any one starts a war we get it in the neck

when america gets fed up with iran or when iran bombs israel.
America is already super serious about going into Iran and Iran's making a nuke to supposedly drop on Israel.
