If I wanted to create a website for my favorite TV show "24", and made a forums site, and attracted lots of members.
Here are my questions:
* Can I copy images or text from the official 24 website?
* Can I put advertisements on the site to help cover the costs of hosting
* Can I even make the site, and use 24 in my title?
Same goes for any other tv show, House, Bones, American Idol?

There's plenty of fansites out there. I doubt it would be illegal. Just use the proper disclaimer and say what belongs to what, where you got the pics, etc. Also, you could ask for permission to use pictures. And that you're not afflited with it in any way.

Make sure you put that its the unofficial site and site your sources and you'll be fine

i don't see why this would matter if you used these items as long as you used them accordance with there rules :)
