I don't know about "satisfied'. But I've come to grips with the way I was raised. I mean, My folks did the best they could and I turned out a caring, thoughtful, compassionate person.

Not really. My parents are good people but had it rough themselves growing up (Dad had no father and was shipped to foster families across the country his entire youth, Mom grew up in post-war Germany homeless and destitute without a father until he returned from a POW camp in '49. By then, however, he was a shadow of a man). They have no true sense of what it took to be great parents. Again, good people, just no experience to learn from.

In all honesty, no not completely. I always felt like they raised me with more rules than my siblings when they were the ones going out and doing crazy things. It seemed as if I was being punished for their mistakes. Still, I love my parents and despite that, they were good parents and there are many rules they taught me about life.

Some what. I'm a good person, I am a pretty honest person. I try my best to not hurt people's feelings. But my parents were very strict. They always wanted me home "where it was safe" but i wished they encouraged me to try new things. I don't mean allowing me to stay out all night and stuff like that. I mean, to this day I am afraid to try new things and to speak up for fear I will be rejected. They didn't even encourage me to go to college, my life could be completely different if they had.

If I could change one thing... I would have had more chores when I was a kid. I am not domestic AT ALL.. I can't iron...hate cleaning... cooking.. decorating... all of that. My mom is great at it, but she did it all for me until I moved out (at 27..a shame.. I know!)... so now at 32 I am like.. what?.. iron?.. dishes?.. I lived in my apartment for almost 7 months before I bought a vacuum (I swept the carpet!)

Seams an relatively unusual question to me. happy? human beings get carry of delight whilst they're please with their very own artwork, judgements, strikes etc.. I had no longer determination in the way i replaced into raised. i will say i did no longer approve of their way of life and have raised myself, meaning my standards of morality, decently and relationship differs from them and have raised my little ones in a diverse way.
