There is always a chance of pregnancy. Withdrawal method is not 100% effective, but then again nothing but abstinence is. The closer to your period coming or ending the less of a chance of pregnancy there is because you ovulate in the middle of your cycle. Here is a website that gives some statistics and a lot of other helpful information on the withdrawal (pull out) method. I'm sure everything is fine! (Also if you are very worried an early results pregnancy test can be taken a few days before your peiod is even due).

Before anything else I'll give you the facts. Withdrawal is 84% effective as birth control. Condoms are 80%. That is a FACT. The condom makers love to say 99% effective "when used properly" because that blames the consumer. 80% is the real number.

Pre-ejaculatory fluids are released long before the man finishes. 30% of tested samples have tested positive for containing sperm and not always enough sperm to guarantee you will become pregnant. Even if there is sperm is there it won't necessarily impregnate you since you are only fertile within a certain time period each month.

End result. You can get pregnant that way, but it is highly unlikely if he withdraws before finishing.

Hi!
To be really frank...If you really ARE concerned with your scholarship, Please practice SAFE SEX period (Use Condoms!)
It's for your own protection healthwise and yes, it can protect you from losing your scholarship....even though he's your boyfriend for sometime etc... It's always best to practice safe sex.
Anyweiz, you have other options...try pills. But choose the best one that won't interfere with your daily routine. cuz some people get adverse effects like nausea, vomiting and etc from pills.

As to your WITHDRAWAL event, there ARE chances for you to get pregnant. Although there is just a little percentage of that. It depends if your partner had a pre-ejaculation (some men are not aware of this when they do) and that his pre-ejaculate has a really "fighter" sperm. LOL

It always helps if you keep track of your cycle too.Although there is an individual variability, generally.... women are safe 7 days AFTER the FIRST day of menstruation and 7 days BEFORE their expected date of menstruation. Days other than that, you are at risk for pregnancy. BUTTTTT this applies only if you have regular menses. If you don't, it's always best to do contraception. :)
Hope this helps.
visit medical sights as well.... on the female reproductive system and safe sex..there's a lot you can learn. just GOOGLE or YAHOO SEARCH about it.

YES, you can. Its called pre-ejaculate, which means that sperm can be released any time during sex, before he actually ejaculates, and neither of you will even notice it. If you dont know the answer to this question, and you arent ready for having a child, you should re-evaluate your relationship. Sex should only be enjoyed by two people who love eachother and are both ready and willing to have a child. If you MUST have sex, at least be educated about the risks and methods of prevention.

well fellow chicagoan, yes you can. it doesnt matter if he has a full blown orgasm, as you two are fooling around i guarantee you he is very excited as he is in you. the slightest leakage as he pumps can cause you to become pregnant. sperm are very small, but strong swimmers. get condoms! especially at yor age and in your situation. i have a lot of friends that are parenting a kid with a person they are not in a relationship with anymore. what do you think that does to the kid? just be careful. if all else fails and you can't get condoms, do oral or use hands on each other it works great! and its a lot safer (pregnancy wise)

LOL!!!! Yes! I'm laughing because it JUST happened to me and now I'm seven weeks pregnant! My husband pulled out... but... for some reason my period never came. SO! Now we're (I'm) pregnant. It sounds like you have some important things going on in your life right now. Find out if your pregnant or not and if you see what you scholarship policy is. Weigh out all your options and manage your life accordingly. I wish you the best.

wow i hope you realize that you are asking for people to write rude coments about this. If you do not know how you could get pregnant or are not doing anything to prevent it you should NOT EVER THINK OF DOING IT AGAIN. maybe you should visit the planned parenthood closest to you and ask them this question.

But the answer is yes

yes, but it is slight, try to get the morning after pill( free at planned parenthood) or you can get it at a drug store and make sure you get on B/C or use condoms next time!! That is a risky method so be careful
