No, the Black Panther Party was systematically destroyed by the FBI. There are however, groups that claim to be affiliated with the Party, but, it is my understanding that they are not.

There is a New Black Panther Party in the USA, although Huey Newton and other members of the original Black Panthers condemn it. See Wikipedia for an article.

it is interesting how the black panthers walked through black neighborhoods with shotguns, caused riots in black neighborhoods that destroyed millions of dollars in those areas, yet are loved and admired by the black community even today. kind of like how muslims will blow themselves up and kill 50 muslim children, but the ones that didnt die will still call the suicide bomber a martyr and say he went to paradise. i'll just never get some people.

i think they renamed themselves
nation of islam
consists mainly of working class
blacks and uneducated blacks from deprived backgrounds
ie:ghettos and slums and ex prisoners
