I mean it´s often just ridicuolous what is going on, I just watched CBC and I felt as though I was living in Russia. Propaganda documentaries about the ´´great public services´´ all the time. And then they are bashing the USA all the time...
Propaganda at it´s best !

The only people that I know who watch and enjoy the CBC are LIEberals themselves. This is a channel that should be taken off the air or turned over and live off of private funding. I know that I am sick and tired of MY tax dollars going to this no good station. They are getting our money they should be representing ALL of us equally, but that will never happen, not until our Conservatives get a majority and can filly pull the plug on the CBC.

Not really.

I think its wrong to say they are "bashing" the US all the time. They mostly report what they see. Sad to say, the US is not always perfect. Of course the US is a democracy so they allow people to see things and find problems. That's what real journalists do in a democracy. CBC also has often critisized our own government, including the liberals by the way. So that is totally UNLIKE Russia or Fox news (which seems to mostly report things in favor of Bush. Of course they did hate Clinton, so, ...)

I think US is where real deficit of news is. Fox is taking over the world and the right there is way to powerful. Sure they have some valid points but they are way too malicious there. You'd think clinton

CBC is not perfect. They still have to improve to get the kind of world coverage that is found in the UK by the BBC.

I am a Canadian but I agree with you. CBC is not independent media neither none of the media in North America.

There is no such a thing as independent media. They should appeal to a group of people, i mean their readers or viewers if you wil.

In case of CBC you are right. They get their budget from public and they have to say stuff that pleases public servants.

Usually you guys prefer Global or Can West stations, the CBC is no more progandist than Global on the right wing side.

Stop being so 'bloody right wing American' and act like a Canadian for pity sake.

The media has a liberal bias in many countries. . .the USA, Great Britain, France, Germany included. And Reuters, which is a worldwide news agency, is also incredibly biased. The consumers of news have to be discerning enough to figure out what is truthful reporting, and what is propaganda.
