Anyone have a favorite hike to recommend in the smoky mountains?

i am specifically looking for something:

1. within a few hours of gatlinburg
2. from moderate to strenuous 'difficulty'
3. from half to full day in length
4. the less popular the better.

but any combination of those is fine too...i've been there before, and found decent info online; but i'm looking for some more firsthand-type info...please let me know why it's your 'favorite.' thanks!

There are many trails in Cades Cove.Cades Cove is popular itself but not really that many people take to the trails for hiking.
