Who do you think is in the top 5 EVER

1. Dan Marino 2. Joe Montana 3. Brett Farve 4. Peyton Manning (and rising) 5. Warren Moon; keep in mind football is a 'team' sport so a teams overall success is not directly related to the ability of a quarterback. Otherwise logic would say Trent Dilfer and Jim McMann among others were better than guys like Marino and Moon just because they have Super Bowl rings, which is just plain retarded logic. Quarterbacks don't block, catch passes, take handoffs, and most importantly play defense. So judging them by their teammates ability isn't fair to the debate. By the way John Elway is the most overated quarterback in NFL history. He was nothing until Terrell Davis and a big running game made the Broncos great late in his career. Troy Aikmen would be a close second.

I'm only in my 30s so I havent seen them all but I believe the best quarterback ever is Dan Marino. Many can argue this because he has no bowl win, yet he was still a great quarterback and my feeling for best all time. As far as the choice for next 4 of the 5 they would probably be (maybe not this order) Peyton Manning, John Elway, Joe Montana, and Steve Young.

1. John Elway - some of the best passing stats, most 4th quarter comebacks, two Super Bowl rings
2. Joe Montana - awesome stats, great comeback quarterback, four rings
3. Dan Marino - holds nearly every passing record on the books
4. Terry Bradshaw - can't argue with four Super Bowl rings
5. Johnny Unitas - great stats for his time, probably the only quarterback to get away with drawing a play in the dirt to win a championship

Honorable Mentions: Brett Favre (greats stats, future Hall of Famer), Peyton Manning (second coming of Dan Marino), Tom Brady (most efficient), Troy Aikman (not the greatest stats but you can't argue with three rings), Roger Staubach (decent stats with a good winning percentage)
