What's the point of knowing your shoe size since sizes seem to vary with different companies?
If someone's buying you shoes as a gift and they ask your size, what're you supposed to say: "Ten in Canyon River Blues, 10 1/2 in Timberland, 9 1/2 in Reebok...."
Know what I mean?

yea i know but i think we have a shoes size so that we know what size we are AROUND in different brands. for example, i am usually a size 7 but when im buying all stars, im 7 1/2.

That's a tricky gift, unless they figure you don't mind exchanging for your correct size. You could offer to make a trip of it with your generous gift giver. That's cool because then they know you value them, not just their gift. Or they could give you a gift card.

But I agree. The sizes thing gets trickier and trickier. Vanity sizing is out of control. What used to be a size 6 is now a size 2 or smaller. They must think we are that gullible.

LOL, yes! I was going to get a new pair of hockey skates this winter, so I went to the store and tried on a pair of CCMs. Their size 8 fit me but I didn't like them so I tried on a pair of Riddels but it took a while for me to realize that their size 8 was too small and that i needed a 10.5!

Well, at least it gives you a place to start; you know not to start with a size 12, for instance :-)
