I don't know what your parameters are---if the person has to be a politician, etc. But, the most amazing life story I've ever read is James Brown's (1933-2006). His life is like 10 lives in one, and very interesting and inspiring.

'About', not 'On'. Pick someone who has been in the newspapers a lot, this gives You ample opportunity to use existing information. Try researching the late Presidents Gerald Ford. A good man, a good President , and a good topic.
